Physics shows that it doesn’t take a lot of speed for a cyclist’s impact force to be multiplied. Even at a regular city-roaming speed, dooring hits significantly harder than most of us believe. To prevent this, Audi introduced the Door Exit Warning System — a system that indicates if vehicles or cyclists are approaching from the rear to stop people from opening doors when danger is near.
